R&S Spectrum Analyzer Version 3.1.1

The RSA Spectrum Analyzer application configures the VNA to make frequency spectrum measurements. This is an implementation of Rohde & Schwarz application note 1EZ62. When the application runs it can preset the instrument, or the Spec An measurement can be added to the current configuration.

Features

  • Set Start/Stop frequency or Center/Span
  • Auto Bandwidth couples the measurement bandwidth to the Span
  • The Reference level will not only set the display it will also adjust the internal IF gain stage to help optimize the dynamic range.
  • Any measurement port can be used for spectrum measurements.
  • Trace Averaging can be enabled.
  • Modify Points per IF Bandwidth
  • RMS/AVG detector available on ZVA

Requirements

  • Rohde & Schwarz Vector Network Analyzer:
    ZVA, ZVB or ZNB
  • Windows XP Service Pack 2 or newer

Installation

  • Upload the installer to the instrument
  • Run the installer, following the on-screen instructions

Instructions

  • On a ZVA:
    Press the "System Config" hard key twice, choose the "External Tools" soft key and select "Spec An"
  • On a ZNB:
    Press the "Applic(ations)" hard key, then select "Spec An"
  • From Windows:
    Navigate to Start-Programs-R&S Spec An-R&S Spec An App
